Biography

Natalie, a native Canadian, resides in Ottawa, Ontario Canada with her 6 children and pets.

A single mom, animal lover, and an avid hockey fan. She also has been a poet since childhood, and her poetry has been featured in published works.

Many times her poetry and photography merge, and the results are nothing short of magical, for that is how her inspiration comes to her for both, often in dreams themselves.

One never knows if the results are true or fiction, for her writing is often times based on fictional events, or characters. Such as mythological creatures, and giving a voice to creatures of nature and or the constellations and the moon itself.

She has been a shutter bug all her life, always taking pictures of random scenes and events, that no one else thought to capture..For instance a lone horse and buggy traveling to market, and the surge and intensity of the athletes practicing for tour de’france, she captured by chance while in Europe as a child visiting her family.

She looks not at the world through the eyes of an artist, but looks at the world through the soul of a lover..For she is truly in love with her environment and the subjects she captures.

Natalie likens the lens to the extension of her eyes, she sees the world better through the lens then she does the naked eye..

For the lens does not distort or fool you, what you see is what you get..Many times what is there with the eye does not translate to the lens, the feeling and the energy is missing,so it is simply left alone and admired but not captured, with anything but the heart.

Her world is always chaotic, often harried and usually stressed.. But above all it is always beautiful, and that is all that matters to her. Her small corner of heaven and her perfect slice of life.
